Obama is not an idiot. Obama is not a republican. Obama is not a conservative.
Obama is nothing at all like George Bush. Yet....why has he governed similarly? Why has he kept many of Bush's policies in place? If you are hard left and can't help it, you'll just start hating Obama as a rightie stooge and move on...but if you are really interested in the reality of things, it's an interesting question. I'm starting to think that CANDIDATES are Conservative and LIberal, but PRESIDENTS are simply Americans, tasked with an almost impossible job...a job that necessitates they do things which they never thought they would do. Elect someone honest and intelligent, and then trust them to do what's right. Pay little attention to the conservative or liberal rhetoric they throw at you while campaigning....it means nothing once they are elected.
