You can set up one to be just an access point that is extending the range of the main router. Most of the time, they have to be of the same model of router to use in this manner, but they can be used as "extenders"...you would connect the router to the "main" router wirelessly and have the secondary router in access point mode. There is a term for this, but it is evading me at the moment. I remember setting up Belkin routers to do that back when I was doing tech support for Belkin. The only requirement was that the 2 routers be the same model. Wireless bridging comes to mind...but I am not sure if that is correct. It' been a few years since I have dealt with it. I do know that when you wirelessly link 2 routers, you can use the wired LAN ports on the router to connect non-wireless devices to the wireless network. PS3's should have a either built in wireless or a wireless connector that can be used. Xbox's had the same thing before they made the Xbox with internal wireless.

I am having my directv and cable Internet set up tomorrow. Problem is there is only one cable jack in the living room. My cable modem and wireless router are being connected in a different room than my directv receiver and ps3. I am trying to figure out how i will connect my ps3 and receiver up to the Internet. Is it possible to piggy back one wireless router to another, having the second router near the ps3 and receiver so I can plug them in?
