Problem not solved, because even if someone legally buys a gun, if they fail to keep said weapon from the hands of those who are not allowed to own a guy, having the law is pointless. Frankly, if someone owns a gun, and lets a either a child or a mentally ill family member have access to it, the gun owner is the one who should be convicted of the crime.
