I get these constantly. They range from annoying to very sensitive personal
information (loan applications) to hearbreaking ("please come to the
hospital to say goodbye to Aunt ....") For the sensitive to heartbreaking
ones, I try to gently inform the person they have the wrong email address.
I also have a few people who constantly use my email address as their throw
away email. I have been signed up for everything from baby clothes to a
Toyota to Bank accounts (can't get in, since I still need an account
number). I've resorted to taking away accounts and/or locking them out if I
can by having a password reset sent to me and changing the passwords. (Then
again, that's how I got my Pinterest account since I simply took it away
from the woman who opened it).
My feeling is that for many of these people, its deliberate and anything
that can be done to shame them into stopping the harrassement is justified.
