Having spent most of the last week at the hospital watching infectious
disease experts and pulmonary specialists try to diagnose what is
wrong with my son, I have concluded that what they know about bacteria
and viruses would fill a thimble with room left over for their brains.

They spent two days doing cultures, decided that he has some rare
strain of bacterial infection, fed him multiple bags of IV
antibiotics, then decided that was not the real problem, only sample
contamination.

If he had a serious disease like Ebola, the sloppiness with which they
have dealt with his illness would have infected the entire hospital by
now.
