The Civil Rights movement was originally designed to try and break down the barriers that kept blacks out of board rooms and country clubs. I am in complete agreement with the concept of making sure that the color of a person's skin, their religous or sexual preferences... even nasty habits all be ignored when it comes to jobs, benifits and freedoms.
However, I also agree wholeheartedly that I should not be forced to have my daughter taught that "sometimes men just love men and women just love women" when she gets to elementary school.
