Innocous for a day, maybe, but the cirriculum is made for a 1/2 year
timeline.
Also, if Heather has two mommies before a child goes to the class then
she'll have already asked her parents where Heather's daddy is, more
than likely.
I'll put myself into a scenario. We'll assume that Heather has two
mommies, my daughter is in third grade. If my daughter comes home and
asks if she can go play at Heather's, I'll probably go with her to meet
Heather and her parents (my mom knew the parents of every friend I had).
Assuming that I don't have a blonde moment (that thinning mop on the
top is blonde), I might notice the fact that Heather has two mommies.
I'd probably not say a thing unless, later, my daughter asks me about
it. What I would say to her would depend on how inquisitive she is.
However, I would still insist that she use propper courtesies, they
would both be ma'am and Mrs. The same thing would be the case if
Heather had two daddies.
As I said before, don't equate my desire to teach my daugther in my way
with me being closed-minded. More than likely you're reading my posts
thinking, "knee-jerk reaction assuming that all homosexuals are also
pedophiles and perverts." That is nowhere near the case. Statistcally,
straight white middle-aged men are the most dangerous group of people
since serial killers, prowlers, rapists and pedophiles come from that group.
