Wow! A former paratrooper -- that must have been exciting and dangerous and 
scary ... I can't imagine but I have a lot of respect for you. There are 
several libertarians on this list, as I'm sure you'll discover. And several 
conservatives. And liberals. And we like to go to loggerheads, but we do it 
with respect. Only rule: No namecalling, or Judith comes on with a whip. 
(Or Erika with a K sics Python, the stallion from hell, on you. Or we all 
throw stale mufffins. Or (worse-case scenario) the name-caller gets banned 
from the list. But we've never had to go there over politics yet.

As for me, I've made a place for myself in this community, but I'm an 
editor, not a programmer! I think I'm a programmer wanna-be -- lucky for me 
I married Michael. <g>
