Here's something I've been thinking about lately ... Especially after Steph couldn't find me. It's a bit morbid, but we all have to think about it someday.
What happens if a person dies, and they are members of a gazillion lists like I am. Now most of the lists wouldn't even notice if I fell of the face of the earth ... But obviously people around here would notice. Say someone is single or their respective partners aren't computer saavy .. How do you post notice to all the different online organizations that you've passed away? Tying up one's physical estate is handled of course in person ... But how do you tell someone to sign on .. And take care of all your online obligations? What about all your files? Who gets them? How can you bequeath all your code? Just a curious matter I've been puzzling about ... It's a lot of loose ends I don't want hanging around should something ever happen to me.
