That's a pretty naive statement isn't it? I mean that would require there being no
guns at all, and that is impossible. Even in countries where all private gun
ownership is illegal there are still guns available. Yet in countries with the
highest rates of possession (Switzerland and Israel) have almost no problems with
accidents or criminal use (well looking at terrorism as a political/religious and not
strictly a criminal act) of firearms.

This man, whomever he is, is a killer. Something makes him do this. Without guns he
would be doing it with bombs, or cars or a really big stick.

I am constantly amazed at how people can not see that a gun is a tool like any other.
Should we license all personal computers? As we all know, they can be used to
devastating effect. Spray cans? They hurt the environment. String ties on sweat
shirts kill hundreds of children a year, should we have legislation on those?

I have enough government in my life. I am so sick of other people that think they
know, better than I do, the manner in which I should live. Property law, privacy law,
personal protection, they are being eroded at an ever quickening pace.

Sorry I know that isn't all germane to this debate, however I see it all as one large
issue, not many separate smaller issues. Personal responsibility and accountability
are at all time lows, violence is on the rise again, politicians are getting busted
out as fast as CEOs. It's an interesting time to be alive to say the least.

Hmm sorry, don't know what's wrong with me this morning, felling pretty morbid I guess.

Lates.

Tim

True, but it would be a lot harder trying to be a sniper with baseball bat.
