No, they stand for Suburban Utility Vehicle. They're for people who feel like life has passed them by, so now to compensate they figure they'll live on the edge a little bit by financing a Land Rover, Mercedes, Lexus, or BMW SUV. It gives them a short term sense of adventure.
It's easy to troll these people because they get highly defensive of their purchase and start to spew all sorts of backwards logic, which just makes them look more dumb.
