So you are saying that their are uncounted couples with children that
used to go out to eat seperately, now will go out as a family because
there is no smoking section now?

That seems illogical on many fronts to me. Including first hand
experience.

How about examining the real world consequences of banning the smoking
section have been? Have you been to a restaurant here in Florida since
Jan 1? Have you seen the throngs of people standing right outside the
front door smoking on a busy night? If anything I think the fact that
parents have to walk through 10-20 strangers smoking would be a bit
intimidating. Especially at restaurants frequented by younger people.
I think it's kinda cool though, gives an ordinary Chile's a sort of
clubland feel.
Have you been to restaurants where most of the eaters were smokers?
Like the pork place down the road...it's is practically dead now. I
don't see kids and their parents making up the slack.

Personally I get sick of all the damn car drivers going around
polluting the earth, and supporting terrorists in the mideast. Even if
I wasn't a smoker...I'd still think car drivers were much worse. I
mean why can't they all learn to carpool? They are all selfish pigs,
that's why.
