This has probably been answered, but I disagree with you strongly.

Most missionaries that I have met, and most I have heard of, don't play fair.

They exchange needed life saving goods and services for conversion. Don't convert,
then go ahead and die.

Even if it is a tenet of their faith, don't push it at me. Or if you do, be ready for
a backlash, since it is a tenant of mine to resist such "attacks".

I don't see how this is different that saying "I hate all Jews that
worship on Saturday and wear Yarmulkes (sp?)". Being a missionary is a
calling that these people have from their Divine creator, and is it is a
tenet of the Christian religion that the word be spread.

If you don't think it's "Christian" to be this way then think of the
alternative in a Christian's mind: Eternal Damnation after death.

Do you have enough information to say that they're forcing people to be
Christian? I don't think anybody is forced to be a Christian or Jew, or
Muslim, or whatever, in their mind. Missionary work is a blessing to
many of those converted. The religion is intended for everybody but not
everybody takes it, and nobody is forced to (the Medival Crusades
excluded).

On one hand I hate missionary scum. I think they should all be hung by
their
gentiles until they decide to leave other peoples religions alone. On
the other
hand, sending missionaries to Iraq will simply lend more credence to the
Arabs
propaganda that this is another crusade. On the third hand, I say let
them go.
When the local populace kills them for trying to convert them then maybe
they'll
get a clue.
Please note that the above is due to my extreme dislike of missionaries,
many of
whom have it as their personal mission to convert my people to another
religion.
I'm not going into whose religion is right or anything in that area. I
just
don't think that people should be going around saying "worship MY God,
yours is
wrong" or "worship the one God MY way as yours is wrong" or any way they
want to
say it.
As for the members of the community that are missionaries, they have
never tried
to convert me in any way, shape, or form and I have not tried to remove
their
faith through debate. It's a nice balance. :)
