On the issue of the water :

As for the uss liberty :

Can I ask an ignorant question from a middle ground?? How do you know which
sources are accurate and which are not. Obviously each side will try to
present its view in the best light, but how do we know which one to believe
or start our "education" with.

Just as an aside though, there is an article on the number of deaths of each
side...Accurate or not it is interesting :

I'd like to see proof of this as Israel (under signed agreement) pumps a ton
of
water to Jordan even during droughts.

Did you know that Israel is the only country in the middle east that was
attacked as it was being created by all of its neighbors and has had to
defend
itself alone multiple times. That has accepted EVERY Jew expelled from Arab
countries since its creation (where the Arabs have yet to accept a single
Palestinian).
In all that time it has never launched a nuke at anyone. I'd say that is
both
deterance and restraint.

Did you know that the investigation into that by congress showed it to be a
tragic error and not a premeditated act. I love how people come forward with
this one without looking up the congressional record. Instead they point to
racist sites with their 'slant' on the story (no, you didn't point to a
site).

defiance of a UN Security Resolution, yet Israel stands in defiance of 69
United
Nations Security Council Resolutions. And that does not count the ones that
the
US used their veto power on.
Did you know that just about every other week there's a new resolution that
unfairly condems Israel while ignoring the same exact events everywhere
else.
Did you know that Syria has been occupying Lebanon for the last 20 years.
Did
you know that despite being an indiginous and set people, the Kurds are
still
denied a state and they've wanted one longer than there ever was a
'Palestinan'
(a rather recient term).
The UN is a joke. They have no power and no moral grounds.

at

Educated. How about this. Since the Hudna started, these are the attacks
that
have taken place:
 29 JUNE
29 June - IDF troops during the evening hours began a troop withdrawal from
Beit
Hanoun which was completed later in the night.

**Gunfire directed at soldiers in Rafiach. N/I (20:09)
**Firebomb hurled at soldiers in Balata. N/I (20:32)
**Israelis injured in stone-throwing attacks in Jerusalem's Old City.
(21;43)
**Soldier lightly wounded in a Hevron shooting attack in the Givat **HaAvot
area. (22;11)
**Bomb detonated against an IDF vehicle near Sanur. N/I (23:11)

30 JUNE
**Anti-tank fire near N'vei Dekalim (03:33)
**Soldiers targeted with a firebomb near Kedumim (05:20)
**Jeep involved in an accident after foreign object was hurled at it (05:44)
**Explosives belt found Tul Karem (07:07)
**Fatal shooting attack near Yabed in the Shomron. A foreign laborer was
killed.
(13:34)
**Gunfire directed at soldiers near Netzarim. (15:57)
**Gunfire from Kalkilye directed at seamline road workers. (16;15)
**Soldiers targeted in 2 bomb attacks in Schweika (21:48)
**Firebomb attack in Tzur Hadassah (22:07)

Since the PA accepted the roadmap over 30 people have been killed by
terrorists.
Since the PA accepted the roadmap they have yet to arrest a single terrorist
or
confiscate a single weapon. I can easily go on but the facts seem to be in
my
favor here. Israel is trying to exist and the Arabs are trying to destroy
it,
even in 'peace'.
And I woun't even go into things like weapons shipments paid for by Saudies
and
passed through by Egyptians to terrorists. That's just to easy.
