> Damn Michael, I am impressed. I now know that I need to do more homework and
back up my talking points with references, which I will do. However, the only
one of your rebuttals that I have a big problem with is:
Thank you. I hate saying things without backup.

the men on the ship. From his viewpoint, it did not sound like an accident.
You may want to review the documents from people in the 'know' such as the NSA,
CIA, etc. rather than someone who was on the ship. I'm in NY and what I know
about an event that may be on my block is not the same as someone actually
investigating it:

I don't want to come across like I feel that it is. I fully respect your
position Michael, I only ask that you understand mine.
I do understand yours but I feel parts of it are more the result of media than
fact. I'm all for peace to the point of giving land to the Palestinians if it'll
result in peace. Only problem is, it hasn't yet. Actually, the problem is that
the Palestinians don't want to take responsibility for their own actions and
just say "enough" to the fighting. If Abbas sent his 15,000 strong police force
in Gaza after Hamas (about 1000 according to Powell) then we know who'll win.
Public support will be on the side with the guns and 15,000 guns is a lot of
support. Rather than do this, Abbas is trying to make Hamas a political
organization while letting them keep their guns and dictate the situation. And
that's just Hamas. There's still Fata and we all know who runs them (Arafat). If
the Palestinians wanted peace, it's there for them. America is willing to all
but crush Israel for peace. All they have to do is finally decide to take the
steps necessary for it and those steps are simply to bring peace.
