Will- I'm particularly fond of BV reds (Beaulieu Vineyards, Rutherford, Napa Valley). Their 1999 reds are wonderful, and they say will age wonderfully.
I have 6-10 each of the '99 Syrah (like liquid jam!), Rutherford CabSav, and Merlot, plus a few assorted others. My prizes are a 1974 George, a 1997 George, and a 1999 George (George de Latour Private Reserve CabSav). I bought the Georges at the winery, where they had been properly cellared before sale. We're saving the '74 for our 30th wedding anniversary - we were married in '74. Yes, I also like the Cabs a little warmer. -Ben > Bordeaux (the red as well as the white), is classically served slightly > chilled 60 degrees is about right.
