So...my new hard disk. I've just started loading on 'extra' programs. And suddenly my computer is at about 10% CPU use always.
System and Explorer take about 6% and 3% each..and I never see 99% System Idle like I used to. I have closed all running programs including CF MX server...but still I have this issue. Games are jerking. This is just what happened when I had spyware installed...only this time Spybot can't seem to find anything! Neither can Norton Antivirus. Iris network analyser showed a constant connection to the Network Internet Gateway machine, 192.168.0.1 on port 1140. Some sort of SOAP Keep Alive connection?? UPNP or something like that? Is anyone familiar with this? I can get the exact TCP/UDP packet and paste it if that would help...its HTML..some sort of XML actually..that keeps being passed to the internet gateway computer.
