depends.

They tend to be the most anal about requiring referrals, etc; however the
cool thing about them is that they do not usually exclude pre-existing
conditions. (Learned this when we had to change insurance while I was
pregnant; bcbs would not touch me and my impending obstetrics fee ;) )
