plastic/whatever they use hip. Just say to your wife, hay baby i got a
plastic hip lets go give it a run for its money LOL. Tell her you need
to spend many hours having sex because the doctor said you gotta test it
out in all positions to make sure it won't break HEHEHE.
And good for you pain sucks, glad you got a way to take it away or at
least make it bareable. Wife lives with pain everyday, i so feel for her
at times. When she takes meds it only makes it bareable. And bareable to
her would probably kill me and many other people LOL. She still says she
would rather have to go through laber everyday then have to death with
this pain which still shocks me to think how bad she must hurt.

Subject: Not depression, just pain - with hope, though
Those of you who have known me on the list for a while realize I try
very hard to keep a positive, cheerful attitude. I'm also an
irrepressible punster with a very dirty mind ;-)
My attitude has gotten even more positive after surviving a major heart
attack last Feb. and being a lot healthier than before it, except for
the arthritis in the left hip. Compared to people with incurable
diseases, or who die, I'm very blessed to be here and only limping
around in pain.
This morning, I just need to vent a little bit, and say "DAMMIT, IT
HURTS!" I refuse to take anything stronger than Tylenol or Motrin, and
them only when really needed - don't want either addiction nor
kidney/liver problems.
Finally overcame the trepidation, and mailed a letter to the orthopedic
surgeon asking to get on the schedule for a hip replacement - said I
want my quality of life back (including quality of sex life <ha>). Also
sent dr a form for the handicapped parking placard - hey, I am !!
Am amazed that I'm not depressed about going through layers of medical
care for asthma, low thyroid, sleep apnea, cardiac, now hip. Just glad
I'm not DEAD, still have a loving wife, a decent job, and a future -
even a better one when I get rid of the pain.
But today I'm grumbling a little bit.
