You might let her drive it. She might turn around when she does. Girls
often like fast cars. Course my wife doesnt give a hoot about fast cars
anyway.
Having said, that, when my van started dying on me, I went out and bought
what I always wanted since I was a little kid. Sure, Tim could crush me in
a straight line but on a twisty course, I'd give him a run for his money.
Actually, most modern sports sedans can crush me in a straight line. I
found an old porshe 911 targa. Its from 79 and cost me 11gs. Its only got
like 150 horses which makes it go to 60 in like eight and a half seconds
which isnt that fast but it holds corners as well as any car I've been in.
That translates to "I'm always having fun in the curves but I'm not always
speeding". Let me tell you, every time I get in the thing, I love it. As
an additional bonus, its not depreciating!! Seriously. I could sell it for
the same as I bought it for a year later! Finally, I cant count on the
fingers of both my hands the amount of people who have told me they always
wanted one.
Anyway, my advice to you is to live life exactly as you want to and if a car
makes you happy, then be happy!

I'm kind of onboard with you in this line of thinking. I'm not an
unreasonable person, nor am I really into impulse purchases, although I
move fast when I see something I want. I've been thinking about
something new for a while, and now that time has come.
On the other hand, this is quite the toy... it's not much more that I
was already paying... and it's not nearly as useful as the truck. But
gosh darn it, I was sick of driving that truck an hour to work every
day.
I'm flip-flopping back and forth on this. I want the car, yet I hate
to be seen as frivolous.
BTW, does anybody know if there is actually a buyer's remorse law in
SC? For that matter, anywhere? I've had four people tell me tonight
that there is anywhere from 24-72 hours to return the vehicle. Is this
true? I can't find any reference to it on the internet.
Also Tim... I would believe you about the SRT-4 smoking a Mustang GT
until I drove this one. My mom had a 97 Mustang GT that I drove around
a while. I think there are little hydrogen bombs for detonation rather
than gas and spark plugs in this car.
