I've never used the free version, so I can't compare the features that would make it 'worth' upgrading to the Pro version.  But from the first time I used the product, I felt that the developers deserved to be compensated.  Just for the fact that I didn't have to install the AIM client anymore (I have family that uses AOL, so I had that bloated piece of crap installed so I could talk to them) was well worth it.

Really...if you appreciate the features of the program, support the developers.  $25 isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things, and IMO well worth having all of the IM clients consolidated into one relatively lightweight package.
