Well, yes.

But it has happened three times here in Boston with the doors locked. You'd think I'd learn. But no. I buy a new 10 disc changer, and a new in-dash controller each time. The problem is, the window they break to get in costs more than the two components. I do have a nice collection of stereo faceplates, though.

I have been tricking out my Jeep this winter with wood and leather. I've replaced the interior door panels with an ipe veneer, and the front grill with an ipe wood grill. I am stitching padded covers for the rollbars out of a nice medium grained brown-mahogany leather. The seats will end up being leather with a buff colored Pendleton wool blanket sitting area (leather gets pretty darn hot in the sun with no roof and no AC).

I am still debating the top in leather.

BTW, I've totally got into the Dismemberment Plan, You'll know them.. and Drives Like Jehu. Is that your fault or Bret's?

Huggy Bear? Is that you?

When you were in Oregon, you never locked your Jeep. So by 'breaking in' do you mean opened the door? :)
