My two favorites events:

CFUN or any Michael Smith organized event
and
The CF-Community Suite at Devcon a couple of years ago.

The knowledge I learn from them and Adam Churvis' classes are what keeps
us going.
Meeting all the day-in, day-out CF people and getting to know them is a
fantastic plus.

Of course DevCon is a great event overall ... but I'm a chatter box and
a party person, so you all know that I like the one on one, cozy
atmosphere of a smaller group. :D

We're paid up for CFUN this year (paid last year), but have not
registered our intent to come. I've been lazy and keep forgetting. :D
I shall do it soon ...

It'll be our first US event in several years ...

Cheers,
Erika

I'll second that. What you get out of CFun hugely outweighs its cost.
Just
being able to sit down with an expert or two in the hall or over drinks
to
ask a direct question usually pays for the entire event.
