Well, I've never done it, so I can't tell you what the expected result should be.
However, if you feel like using Windows Media Encoder, that's what I'm here for!

I'm getting there. I got it to generate a perfect mp3 file, but then it
switched to video and the file was huge again. Is it normal for the file to
be huge and _then_ shrink? As it stands, I estimate it would need 80 gigs
free which seems a bit intense.
