Ken... You are the man!! Thanks so much for steering me in the direction of the updater!! I uninstalled CF 7, installed CF 6.1 and everything is working!!
The funniest thing... In true supervisory fashion, my boss, who I really like, came into my cube and said "oh yeah, I knew about that..." :) Oh well, I get paid the same either way. I will check out the other link you sent too. Again, to all who replied, thanks so much! I now have CentOS 4.4 and CFMX 6.1 running. ~Paul -----Original Message----- From: Ken Smith [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, January 30, 2007 1:47 PM To: CF-Linux Subject: RE: CFMX 6 on CentOS 3.8 or 4.4... Any luck?? I have updated my previous installation using the CFMX 6.1 updater1. It also, runs 'out of the box'. It runs against the same JRE - 1.4.2b28. However, CFMX 6.1 u1 has been 'certified' by Adobe to run against the 1.4.2_11 JVM. It does require a patch to resolve NullPointerExceptions that will appear if you are using CFLDAP or CFServlet. See the technotes " ColdFusion MX/JRun and Sun's JVM: U.S. Daylight Saving Time changes in 2007" - http://www.adobe.com/go/d2ab4470 and "ColdFusion MX 6.1 Updater 1: Hot fix for NullPointer Exceptions after upgrading to 1.4.2_06 JDK/JRE or higher" - http://www.adobe.com/go/kb400232. The first technote will also indicate how to update your JVM. The 1.4.2_13 JVM appears to work also, although it is unsupported. But, so is CentOS for that matter ;-).
