I have to say CF on Solaris is better. Not because the CF is better but
because Solaris is. I have a site that's controlling all the client/sales
communications for one of Sun's 3 master resellers (Merisel) and its on CF
4.5.1. It's been up and running without a problem for the last 7 months. I'm
thinking of adding SP 2 and rebooting it in the next few weeks, but that
doesn't really seem necessary. I've never seen an NT box that can stay up
that long under load.
Now the real issue isn't CF or the OS, its the code. If your code is tight
then your set. My advise is to get someone to do a review on your site for
the code, the error logs (yep, you have to read them) and for the network
architecture. You'd be supprised what can lead to a slow or crash prone
site.
Oh, just as a small side note, CF on Linux rocks. :)
