Most certainly. Macs were happily serving up web pages long before there was
a decent web server for the Windows platform. I do recall that back in the
1993/94 timeframe Chuck Shotton was busy pumping out MacHTTP to a happy
crowd of loyal users. Been a long time since my mind has drifted back to
that era, lots of fun to be had in those days...check out

Of course, none of that is intended to suggest that it's necessarily a
better platform for web serving today. No interest in repeating that
religious debate anymore.
