It depends how you want to use the site management features - site wide validation, 
site-wide link checking, site-side search and replace. I usually do both :) I'll also 
create a "whole bloody server" site for my development servers, so I can use DWMX like 
I used to use Studio, for opening anything on the site (log files, test dirs etc).
