The only experience I've had with activation is with MS.  I've had to call 
their support many times to get stuff activated or reactivated.  It's 
generally a 10-20 minute process.  Can I assume that it will be the same 
here?

Does the new activation mean that MM will be dropping the price of 
Contribute substantially since they are solving the piracy issue?
