Dan,

CF doesn't have any idea whether it's an encrypted site or not.  As a matter
of fact.  I've got a site that's accessed via https:// externally and
http:// internally.  Both sites point to the same directory and the same
code.  IIS knows that external calls get routed through https:// while
internal ones don't.
