Well, to be quite honest, why would macromedia NEED to be a sponsor? 
Sponsors become sponsors for the purpose of MARKETING.  I mean, it's not 
like they need to promote themselves to a bunch of coldfusion and flash 
developers.  The conference (CFUNITED) is already very successful and 
doesn't exactly need the support of Macromedia...
