But even then shared hosting is still sharing something and is thus more risky. Even if the application is completely segmented: no outside memory or file access (and as far as I know .NET doesn't segment file access out of the box) it's still using the same CPU, disk, bandwidth, system databases, etc. ..NET in a shared environment doesn't have this particular issue, but it's still got issues with shared hosting.
