but for mail filtering wouldn't the to: address be more effect for mail 
filtering? Unless you wanted to create the one address to handle 
distribution of profiled traffic.

In Outlook the [cf-talk] works well -- if there is the worry about off-topic
messages being filtered, you can include in the rule an "except if sent
directly to me".

By filtering on subject line you can't distinguish list traffic from
non-list
traffic. By filtering to:/cc:/etc it is trivial to make that distinction
work
properly.

It may not occur often, but the fact that a subject line that comprises
[cf-talk] will always go to your list folder when, in fact, it may be
communication that belongs (or was intended to be) off-list.

People do send private exchanges in re cf-talk articles without changing
the subject lines - forwarding, you know?
