I do not get the gist of what you are trying to do (while skimming from my office while I should be working), but one pointer:
You do not need to loop over a query to get a list of ids. Use the ValueList() method. It takes a column: <cfset lstProposalIDs = ValueList(getproposals.proposalid) /> Good luck. .......................
