Price really isnt a factor, I mean if you get a Dell xps (or any laptop) with
comparable equiptment you will probably pay at least twice as much as you will
for the apple. Ppl seem to compare an Apple which comes with so much, to a
bottom feeder dell thats $400.

My Dell 8250 p4 2.4ghz was $2900, a good monitor 17" was $450 and ram was $160,
extra warranty was $300 thats almost 4k, no wireless, no bluetooth, no dvi
output and the video card is too weak to run any new games on.

my new intel 20" intel imac fully loaded with 3 years of applecare, 2gbs ram,
upgraded video card and everything was $2400 and that was with wireless mouse,
keyboard, bluetooth, airport.. hell only 1 cord for power.

Im not sure what my macbook pro would cost since apple upgraded me for free.
And not to mention all the programs I got with mac and all the money I had to
spend every year just on virus and spyware cleaners and all that crap for pc.

And you can run ms stuff easily. On this laptop I have an extra monitor i dual
monitor with and when I need my 2 programs on windows (ipb and ie) I launch
parallels and I can full screen it on my other monitor and I got windows.. if i
want it... doesnt get used much...... but its there and runs better than it
does on my dell.

The osx servers are just balls out nuts good!! All my sites are backed up on
them.

Heh. I'm running the America's Army demo (I'm such a cheap bastard) on my G5
(old arch) and it's fine, dandy, even. For some reason UT2004 demo didn't
do so well. :-/ or maybe I haven't tried it since my G4... hrm...

I have read lots where pc mags have been testing pc games running on apples

Holy Crap! That's pretty far out. Guess those "standards" for video
drivers/whatnot are working out, neh?
FWIW, when I tried wineX, it ran that "twisted" Alice in Wonderland game
faster than Windows did, but only certain games would work, and it was a
PITA.
So I guess it's not that far out... Just old knowledge, yet to be purged,
tickling thoughts. (winex was a DirectX emulator for linux).

So really there is no reason for anyone not to go mac,

But I agree, a great platform! Installing CF was a breeze, and I'm liking
their servers... and what a UI!
