I'm trying to learn to set up a mySQL database. Does CF have to be on the same machine/server for it to talk to the mySQL database? I'm also not sure if I have to set up a web server for anything to talk to the database or can I just give it an IP that the database is on, somehow.
Finally, can anyone suggest a mySQL user group?
