Internal sites are frequently far more data intensive and interactive such that, while actually traffic volume may be lower, the processing load on a server may be far higher than a simple Internet site. I agree with the spcific items you suggested asking about but don't rule out that Intranet/Extranet sites may actually be a better judge of CF's capabilities in some cases.
