CF 9 - 2009 CF 8 - 2008 CF 7 - 2007 CF 6 - 2006. I think you memory of the ColdFusion version's is a little compressed since I clearly remember the buzz of ColdFusion 6 back in 2000-2001. I believe that ColdFusion development cycle is two to three years per version.
