There were a ton of issues with CF8 and IIS7 on 64 bit windows.. very complicated to set up.
I was under the impression that they'd resolved those issues with CF9 - I recently uninstalled CF8 and installed CF9 with no problem (Win7, 64 bit).. but I'd already made all those configuration changes for CF8 to IIS so I don't know for sure.
