I looked under the hood of Adobe Edge, the HTML5 animation tool and it uses jQuery and stores data for the animations as JSON. jQuery is wildly popular for good reason. In many ways it is like CFML, it makes hard things easy. Write less do more.... etc. Same concept in many ways... Like easy is a bad thing. G!
