I recommend it - but I don't like it. I was brought up on Access Reports
and there are some things I really, really like about Access that I can't do
in Crystal - e.g., if I have a really neato, super-complicated piece of code
in one report, I can't just copy it and paste it to use in another one. I
have pretty much avoided Crystal reporting because we others who do it. I
just marry 'em up to the web, but they do work well and that is what
matters. Actually, I am the resident Access Reporting prima donna here and
when they ask me about Crystal, I just give 'em a blank stare - I really
don't have a clue :-)

Why do you hate it? So do you recommend it or not?

We are currently using CR 7 and run rosters for the most part, but just
about anything you can do with Crystal can be run on the web. We have some
reports that are based in part on the client variables of the logged in
person and others where the user is prompted to provide parameters. Works
pretty nicely even though I HATE Crystal Reports.

Hi all,

I am trying to push my group into buying Crystal Reports for our
reporting needs. What i want to do is create a secure site where users can
log in and view their reports. Has anyone done this before? which CR version
do you recommend? Developer? Professional or Standard? What specifically
have you done with CR? Any advice would be appreciated very much. Thank you
everyone. I am currently running Cf 4.5.1 on NT.
