You have been listening too long to the trash liberal media and gun control
nuts spew forth.
You talk about having LOTs of faith in the average civilian...are you not
aware of permits to "carry" that thousands and maybe millions of American
have already?  You don't go outside and fear for your life do you?  No, you
trust that one of them won't use their gun on you.  No different for armed
citizens on planes, in schools, etc.  As long as they are trained and know
how to use a gun, yes all but criminals can be trusted.

As for gun battles on the plane before hijacking...look at the result when
it wasn't an option...no more WTC and thousands dead!
