And the answer is... "Who cares how many there are?" After all, ease of use doesn't necessarily correspond with popularity. There are probably still more Perl CGI programmers than there are CF programmers, but that certainly doesn't mean Perl is easier or better. It simply means that it's more popular. And yet, in spite of this argument, I can tell you that there are quite a few people going through the Macromedia training program, and they've been doing that for years. > He thinks FrontPage is the way to go.... In that case, he has a conceptual problem. FrontPage isn't the same thing as CF. CF is an application server that allows you to build web applications. FrontPage is an HTML editing tool. This is kind of analogous to comparing, let's say, vi and Visual Basic - there's editing involved with both (after all, that's all you do with vi), but Visual Basic allows you to create applications, and vi, by itself, doesn't.
