HAHAHAHA!

That's hilarious. Comparing FrontPage to Coldfusion is like comparing
chocalate cake to a box of screws. They aren't even remotely the same
thing. He needs to compare ASP VS. Coldfusion or FrontPage VS. Dreamweaver.
FrontPage isn't for programming or scripting, ASP is. Is he just dumb as a
rock?

Personally, I like ASP and Coldfusion. Coldfusion is faster and easier, ASP
is a little more precise and is VB friendly. The VB.Net and Web Forms stuff
looks really cool.

FrontPage, as others have mentioned, is used by Mom and Pop shops for doing
design and layout, because it's so much like MS word and such, and has all
this prefabricated templates. But it isn't even a good design tool. A real
design shop is going to do the front end using Photoshop, Dreamweaver,
Illustrator, Fireworks, GoLive, etc. for the HTML and graphics, and is going
to use ASP, JSP, Coldfusion, PHP, etc for the back end database stuff. But
no place professional is going to touch FrontPage because it isn't a good
tool. Notice that I'm not Anti-Microsoft, I'm just Anti-FrontPage and I
taught it for CompUSA training centers for 2 years.

When you work in FrontPage, you end up with a design that looks like
everyone else's and doesn't look good in Netscape. Of course, I'm SURE
everyone will agree that it has IMPROVED SO MUCH in the 2002 version.

As far as why there are so many FrontPage users, why are there so many
people that eat at McDonald's? Is it because its the best food in the
world?
