My original background has nothing to do with programming.

I served for 7 years as a Lieutenant and paramedic in the fire service.
During that time, I ran the public education program and was responsible for
all public relations, media and development of education programs for the
community along with the other fire related duties. This included
television/radio promotion, newsletter writing and other marketing tasks.
I've written several community education training programs from scratch and
served as About.com's guide to Firefighting. One of the most comical aspects
of this experience is that I was on a firefighting trading card that was
featured on Chicago's Fox Thing in the Morning. I hope that doesn't count
against my ten minutes of fame. I left the fire service for a career in the
web industry as well as having more time at home with my family.

My web programming background is about 4 1/2 years with 2 1/2 of those being
CF with 1 year of fusebox. I bring up my fire service background because I
feel we have a lot of excellent programmers on the line up for this project
and my background has a lot of writing and instruction development. So, I
would guess that my most useful contribution would be in helping to maintain
the documentation on how to use the system, and promoting it to the public
after it was released.

I am currently working on a large project that includes a custom written CMS
system, so I do have some experience with a custom written CMS solution.

Anyway, that is me.
