I can post a copy this Monday, I don't have a file here I can send but at
work I do. Also Are we going to use XFB or just plain Fusebox 1.0? I think
we should use XFB (Exteneted Fusebox) and if we do you will all want the
Fusebox PDF file I have and you may want to join the Fusebox list at

Subject: Coding Methodologies
Ok now we are going to go into the nitty gritty of how we should code. I
know not everyone on the list can code in fusebox, but considering the
majority of the people who use a coding methodology in CF use fusebox we
will be using fusebox because of the sheer number of support and users on
this list who already are using it, BUT ok here is the but we will have to
also come up with a coding standards sheet. For example, since this is open
source we have to keep in mind that people on Linux and Unix will want to
use our code, so with the help of Michael Dinowitz and help from you guys
out there we will put together a document specifying how variables should be
written and other odds and ends we can make up to help everyone code. I know
a few of you have expressed displeasure at using fusebox and I know some of
you do not even know how to code in fusebox, but it is really the most
popular coding methodology for CF right now and for those of you who don't
know how to use it this list will help you to start learning it. As for the
people who wanted to make up their own methodology I am hoping the coding
standards sheet will appease you because fusebox is only a methodology to
make the code easier to read, but we will need to make sure people are
writing the code the way CF in other languages needs it to be written. Again
I am sorry if this doesn't make everyone happy, but there really is nothing
I can do that will make everyone 100% happy, I think this decision will make
the majority of coders happy. Now as for the people who don't know how to
use fusebox go to www.fusebox.org and look at the spec sheet and download
their code and play around with it to get started. That is how I started
learning, it is pretty straight forward.
