Matt, I see where you are coming from. Originally I am from a Java/OOP
background and hmmm, I had the same attitude about Fusebox way back on '98
and to be honest with you; I was proved wrong by simply coding away and
seeing what happens. Truth of it is; there is a solution for everything and
we choose to use Fusebox for CF projects... period.
In the case of scaling - please dont start that again - its so CF Server 4.
:-) The server is faaaar more stable than it ever was and that is your main
pointer to how your app performs.
CF/Fusebox also allows us to build a CMS project in half (if not less than)
the time it would take to build a hybrid model using other
methods/technologies...
I am intrigued into why DevX and MM have NDA's about this fantastic new CMS
project your building - is it going to be an MM app :-)? Surely Greylock
will be your Java/CF hybrid model you prefer? Where we can still use
Fusebox utlising Java underneath? - either way Fusebox wins.
Oh and ours will be open source - mmmmmm think of that market share that
will have - for the small to medium based markets - especially as the big
boys all cost a fortune; and in some cases - pretty much stink.
as they say - just my $0.02
Neil
