I am not trying to manage this project nor would I want to. As I
mentioned, I am already managing a project for my company building a CMS
and don't really have the time for another project. I am interested in
contributing, but before committing my time to anything I want to make
sure the project will be useful. My post was nothing more than an
attempt to make sure that the project is that. I admit my attitude
stinks when it comes to Fusebox, but I have had to fix far too many
sites done using Fusebox.
As far as our CMS project is concerned I would be happy to share
information that I can. Unfortunately, DevX and Macromedia are in mutual
NDAs with regard to this project, so I have to be careful what I talk
about.

Speaking personally, I would rather write my own code than allow
unilateral
project management from someone that wasn't chosen by the team as a lead
developer. It has nothing to do with your stance on Fusebox, it has
everything to do with your attitude.
The scale of your project sounds interesting, and I'm especially curious
about your division of labor between CF and Java. If you'd like to hold
a
discussion on the subject, perhaps you'd like to reapproach with a
little
more diplomacy?

My team and I are currently building a CMS using CF and Java that has to
handle hundreds of thousands of content objects and scale to handle
millions of page requests an hour. I would be happy to contribute to an
open source CMS that can do the same thing. I may even be able to open
source code we have created here at DevX for our CMS. However, I am
unwilling to contribute to a project that shoots itself in the foot by
using something like Fusebox. It is important to use a scalable and
extensible application framework and architecture. Fusebox is neither.
While Fusebox is good for people who don't know how to create their own
architecture and/or framework, it should be avoided by those that do.
