It doesn't. Contract from 2 years ago says implement a system that is now defunct, so there is no relevent contract governing what I do. I am permanent part-time.

BTW there's no 10% rule here think that's a US thing and only applies to works of art/design.
The Australian copyright act doesn't let you reuse or make an adaptation of a program without permission. You can't even use parts of a program for another purpose. Sorry to tell you bad news :-(
