This is very similar to the way we have solved the exact same problem.  We
have to host multiple sites that run different one-offs of our application.
We simply set an application variable that contains the path to the CFC and
then use it in every call.  It works like a charm.

What about in application.cfm or some other root setting location

root = GetDirectoryFromPath(GetBaseTemplatePath());
cfcPath = root&'my\cfc\path\';

and then from anywhere in the app:
